Chief Jacqueline A. Seabrooks has more than three decades of progressively responsible municipal policing experience which includes seven years as a police chief. Chief Seabrooks' career in law enforcement includes service with the California State Police Division, the Santa Monica Police Department, and the Inglewood Police Department. In 2012, she rejoined the Santa Monica Police Department as its 17th Chief of Police.
During her initial 25 years with the Santa Monica Police Department, Chief Seabrooks served in a variety of operational and administrative capacities. She was the first woman to promote to the rank of Police Sergeant, Police Lieutenant, and Police Captain. Chief Seabrooks was also the first woman to hold the top executive position in Inglewood Police Department’s history.
She also served as an adjunct faculty member at area colleges where she provided instruction on various Criminal Justice topics. Chief Seabrooks is involved with the Santa Monica Police Activities League (SM PAL); she serves on the Boards of Directors for the Santa Monica Boys & Girls Club.
