Joe Herrera started his career as the Labor Relations Manager for Anschutz Entertainment Group (AEG), working closely with the management staff advising on workplace issues with both union and non-union personnel for all AEG entities.

In 2006, Herrera was promoted to director of human resources for STAPLES Center and in 2008 tasked with the staffing and managing of all HR duties for NOKIA Theatre @ L.A. LIVE and later the L.A. LIVE entertainment complex. In 2014, he was promoted to vice president of corporate HR for AEG. He oversees human resources, employee, systems payroll, compensation, benefits, and talent management. He is responsible for the strategic management of human resources throughout the entire organization.
